hello!
I’m Sheridan, a dramaturg and literary professional with a passion for process-conscious dramaturgy and dramaturgically-informed theater operations. I grew up in Pennsylvania’s Amish Country, studied in New England and the Midwest, and landed in San Diego, CA, where I serve as the Artistic Assistant at The Old Globe.
I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Dramaturgy from Indiana University Bloomington. During my time at IU, I served as the production dramaturg for shows in the Department’s season, developed new plays with peers in the MFA Playwriting program, and co-produced the annual At First Sight New Works Festival for three years.
I complemented my graduate coursework with practical experience, assisting literary operations at theaters across the country. This included creating study guides and scouting shows for season selection at Constellation Stage + Screen and the piloting of new script coverage systems while serving as the Assistant Dramaturg for The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Beyond dramaturgy and literary management, my practice spans administration, intimacy consultation, and research. My writing can be seen in The Journal of Consent-Based Performance and Dramaturgies of the Real World: Dramaturgy as Methodology, coming out late 2026.
